About

Hello! I’m Meredith.

I am an occupational therapist (OT) and mom of two. I have over a decade of experience working as an OT and before moving into perinatal health, I specialized in rehabilitation for neurological conditions, cognitive impairment, and chronic pain.

My passion for perinatal health began after experiencing a difficult first pregnancy, postpartum, and transition into motherhood.  I found that there was an abundance of resources for pregnant women, but a significant lack of resources for women in the postpartum phase. The postpartum resources I did discover were aimed mostly to address only the initial few months and while they included a lot of valuable information on infant care, were lacking in content to address the mother’s own physical, emotional, and psychosocial wellness. I realized that my skills as an OT uniquely suited me to support women in this phase of life.

As an OT, I help people accomplish everyday life activities that they both need and want to do. Being a mother is a role that impacts all areas of our lives and as mothers, we must continually adjust to changing daily life and routines as our children grow. It can be hard to take care of and prioritize yourself as a mother and can be isolating to feel like you are the only one struggling with this.

Perinatal occupational therapy helps women navigate pregnancy and postpartum, recover from physical or mental health concerns, and transition into the new role of motherhood that comes with a massive shift in routine and identity.

While my practice has shifted to focus to pregnancy and postpartum recovery and pelvic floor therapy, I still enjoy working with those who are healing from chronic pain or have more traditional rehabilitation needs.
